Dr. Gregg Raab MD

Elite Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center

Dr. Gregory E. Raab graduated from Stanford University and Loma Linda University Medical School. He then completed his internship and orthopedic surgery residency at Penn State College of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in total joint replacement at OrthoCarolina. Dr. Raab served as an assistant professor at Penn State Hershey Medical Center prior to joining Elite Sports Medicine + Orthopedics in April of 2015.

Casey White, PT, DPT, Cert MDT

Physiotherapist/Sports Injury Rehabilitation

STAR Physical Therapy Group

Casey grew up in St. Louis. She has always enjoyed swimming and took her talents to the University of Kentucky where she held two team records. After graduating, she continued her education by receiving a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Kentucky. Work brought her and her husband to Nashville where she has practiced PT for five years with STAR Physical Therapy. She is currently the Director of Physical Therapy at the White Bridge Road location. Through continuing education she had added another manual therapy certification and is working towards several more. She still enjoys swimming with the Nashville Aquatic Center’s Masters team along with other forms of exercise such as running and hiking. She has enjoyed being involved in swimming and looks forward to continuing her involvement in swimming with NAC.

Karen Griffin PT/ATC

Karen is a physical therapist/certified athletic trainer for STAR Physical Therapy at the Patterson Street Clinic.

Karen is a graduate of the University of Florida and has been involved with treatment and rehabilitation of athletes over the years since 1983. She has worked with teams in the high school setting; the collegiate setting at the University of Florida and Stanford University and the U.S. national teams in track and field and women’s basketball. She was selected and served on the U.S. sports medicine staff for the 1987 World University Games in Zagreb, Yugoslavia; 1988 Seoul, Korea Olympic Games; 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games track and field venue staff; and the 2000 Sydney, Australia Olympic Games.
Currently in the clinical setting, Karen works with athletic and non-athletic individuals in helping return to full function and reach their rehabilitative goals. She has certification in orthopedic manual therapy including soft tissue release techniques and dry needling. She is married and has a 13year old daughter who is a NAC age group swimmer.

Abbigail Tuohy MS, BCC

Nashville Mental Training

A​bbi Tuohy MS, BCC is a former All-American Division I swimmer. Her personal and professional experience in the sport of swimming gives NAC an additional edge when utilizing her services for sport psychology. Sport psychology is the education and assessment of the psychological aspects of sport which facilitates maximizing performance. Topics typically covered in sport psychology and performance coaching sessions are similar, but not limited to, the following:

Rob Mulford, LMT

Owner, Athletic Specialist

Zone Conditioning & Sports Therapy

Rob is co-owner of Zone Sports Therapy & Zone Conditioning.  Rob is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Spinning Instructor.  He has been a trainer for over 20 years and Licensed Massage Therapist for over 15 years.  Rob specializes in Sports Massage Therapy, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, acu-cupping and shoulder injury prevention and maintenance.  Through massage therapy and sport specific training, Rob helps athletes compete at a professional level and stay injury free.

Mary Glenn Yort, MS, RD, LDN

Registered Dietitian/Sports Nutrition

Mary Glenn graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor’s of science in nutrition/dietetics and has a master’s degree from Florida State University where she specialized in sports nutrition. She is registered through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as a Registered Dietitian and is licensed by the state of Tennessee to practice dietetics and nutrition intervention.

Originally from Augusta, Georgia, Mary Glenn has experience working with athletes of all ages. Most recently, Mary Glenn worked at EXOS in Charlotte, North Carolina, a training facility for athletes and active adults. In particular, she worked with a competitive swim club and a diving academy. During her time at Auburn University, she was the team dietitian for the swim and dive team as well as the softball team.

She has clinical experience interning at the Children’s Medical Center and Augusta State University Hospital in Augusta. She also counseled clients at the Diabetes Outpatient Center in Tallahassee, Florida, and at a children’s diabetic sports camp in Bradenton, Florida.

Mary Glenn is looking forward to continue educating the swim community!
