We are so excited to have our returning families back and to welcome our new families into our community.  There are so many exciting things happening at NAC this season, and I wanted to take a minute to highlight just a few of them.
First, we are excited to begin our first season being guided by our new mission and vision statements.  Our swim lesson, PreComp, and SwimFit families are an incredibly important part of our family here at NAC and we hope that the new mission and vision statements ensure that you feel that way, too!
Second, we have a great coaching staff!  We are returning some excellent coaches but also bringing some bright and talented new coaches into the fold this season.  We encourage you to get to know them and welcome them to the pool deck.  Here at NAC we are in the process business, not the results business.  People, and in this case our staff, play an integral role in ensuring your athlete is bought in to our process for their long term success.  It is the buy-in towards the long term process that yields success.
Third, it is an Olympic year!  This is a great time to be a part of the NAC family if you have not been in the fold in past Olympic years.  Many NAC senior athletes will be vying for USA Swimming Olympic Trial qualifying times and beyond.  Qualifying for this meet is a major accomplishment.  Be sure to check out our Olympic Trials 2020 page for more information and to see a list of past qualifiers!  Because of the reputation of our hosted swim meets and the hard work our Meet Crew puts into running them, our meets attract athletes who are also trying to qualify for the Olympic Trials.  This makes meets like the Summer Sizzler (June 2020) one of the fastest age group meets in the country every 4 years.
Fourth, information, information, information!  The coaching and administrative staff has worked very hard to use this blog space to provide you with tons of information that can help your athlete and family as they embark upon, or build upon, the long-term journey with the Nashville Aquatic Club.  We hope you will use this resource, and if you have questions you can’t find, don’t hesitate to jump on one of Coach Sean’s webinars (2 more left this Fall!) or e-mail us.  We are happy to help!
Thanks to all of our athletes and families for their continued belief in our program.  We hope that 2019-2020 is a great year for your athlete – even if that means finding opportunity in learning from the ups and downs that are inevitable in our sport.
Go NAC!
