Five NAC athletes participated at the 2019 US Open Championships – held in Atlanta, GA December 4th-7th. Philip Adejumo, Alex Massey, Meaghan Raab, Alex Walsh, and Gretchen Walsh participated in this long course meet that attracted the top talent from across the country and across the hemisphere.
Alex Massey finished in 27th place in the 100 Butterfly. Meaghan Raab took home an 11th place finish in the 200IM and an 18th place finish in the 200 Free. Alex Walsh broke a National Age Group record with her 2nd place finish in the 200IM, and also added a 7th place finish in the 100 Back and a 4th place finish in the 200 Back. Gretchen Walsh finished in 3rd place in the 50 Free, 10th in the 100 Fly, and 9th in the 100 Free.
Four NAC athletes participated at the 2019 Junior Championships – East – also held in Atlanta, GA from December 11th-14th. Lauren Hurt, Spencer Jyawook, Evan Petty, and Ella Platek competed at the meet that attracts the top junior talent from the East coast. Spencer Jyawook finished in 11th place in the 50 yard Free and 18th in the 100 yard Fly. Evan Petty finished in 8th place in the 100 yard Back and added a 16th place finish in the 200 yard Back.
