NAC took 4 athletes to the first stop on the TYR Pro Series in Knoxville, TN January 9-12, 2019. Ella Nelson, Meaghan Raab, Alex Walsh, and Gretchen Walsh competed with some of the top names in the sport over the weekend and had some great in-season results. The TYR Pro Series meets are swam in the long course meter pool and attract the top athletes from across the country and internationally.
NAC National Teamer Alex Walsh qualified for the final in the 200FR (8th), 400IM (7th), and 200IM (2nd), while qualifying for the console in the 100BK (9th) and 50 Breast (13th). In addition, Alex swam the backstroke leg of the mixed 4 x 50 Medley Relay, and swam the fastest backstroke split – out swimming fellow National Teamers Olivia Smoliga, Kathleen Baker, and Phoebe Bacon.
NAC National Junior Teamer Ella Nelson qualified for the final in the 200BR (5th), and 200IM (8th), while qualifying for the console in the 100BR (16th), 400IM (13th), and 50BR (15th).
NAC/UGA Post-Grad Meaghan Raab qualified for the final in the 200IM (7th) while qualifying for the console in the 100BR (13th).
NAC National Junior Teamer Gretchen Walsh qualified for the final in the 100FR (7th), while qualifying for the console in the 50FR (9th) and 200IM (11th).
